I was thinking who to dedicate these poems too... Nan for the human one and Toffy for the animal one. However I have changed my mind because it encompasses everyone who has brought love into my life. So for all my angels, these poems were written with you in mind and I hope that by sharing them with others today it brings comfort and loving thoughts to other dear angels who at the moment have gone away and their beloved families who miss them as much as I miss my loved ones. Special Angel

The rain hammers down on me,
Each hit like an extra knife in my head,
What a terrible day,
The kind that is so grey,
It brings on thoughts of a depressing kind,
Like not one person loves me,
No one cares,
It seems fate is using me for kicks again,
It is so cold and everyone is glum,
So I decide to run.
To my home,
Far away from life's harms,
A special place,
Within your arms.
A home which I have used many times before,
A place which can turn grey sky's blue.
Because it contains you!
I walk down the street,
People pass but we don't speak,
I arrive at your door,
Everything as I have seen it so many times before,
The door opens and there you are!
An instant smile,
My number 1 star.
No need for explanations,
Or calling an hour before,
You bring me in and sit me down,
Turn on the fire and settle my fears,
With love that is so very strong.
You treat me like royalty,
Nothing is to much trouble,
Like some food or tea? Maybe a cold drink?
You hang on my every word,
Like to you every sentence means the world,
You listen and smile,
Just your presence enriches the air,
Your eyes sparkle brighter than the stars,
Your laugh rings like wedding bells.
The happiness you give me cannot be told,
Now your gone,
That door that was always open,
The roof that kept me out of the cold,
Where is it now? Faded like a misty morn,
I could really use a moment of your time,
Not to speak or get comfort for me,
Just to listen, hear and smell you,
To see all the old familiar things,
Looking the way they always did.
For you to shine and blow my darkness away,
In the way you used to until that saddest of days,
I would search the bottom of the deepest ocean,
Or find my way beyond space,
If it meant just once we could again embrace.
Instead I have to take the lessons you taught me,
Use an umbrella to shield the rain,
Step into a shop for warmth,
Buy some snacks and carry on my life's path,
I have accepted you wont be around the corner again,
That we wont be able to share like we use to,
Or even laugh and exchange a loving smile,
But oh I swear to god up above,
I would do anything just for a second of my loved angels touch,
Just a moment to hold my hand,
Helping me to understand.
Still if you want me angel.
Pop in anytime,
Life is my post-box,
Find me anywhere,any time of day,
I will be here, arms open wide,
From heaven look into your heart and you will find,
I have been and always will be by your side,
A part of us forever intertwined for all time.

A Picture Of You

I only have a picture now,
A frozen piece of time,
To remind me of how it was,
When you were here, and mine.

I see your smiling eyes,
Each morning when I wake,
I talk to you, and place a kiss,
Upon your lovely face.

How much I miss you being here,
I really can not say,
The ache is deep inside my heart,
And never goes away.

I hear it mentioned often,
That time will heal the pain,
But if I'm being honest,
I hope it will remain.

I need to feel you constantly,
To get me through the day,
I loved you so very much,
Why did you go away?

The angels came and took you,
That really wasn't fair,
They took my darling Son,
